Elaine (Walker) Ballas, 76, of Indiana, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born September 10, 1939 in Plum Creek Township and was a daughter of the late Russell Walker and Vernessa (Haden) Walker. She was married to the late Joseph Ballas.
Elaine worked for Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a custodian for years up until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She attended the Church of Christ in Indiana.
Elaine is survived by her two sons: Joseph R. Ballas and wife Kerri, Indiana; and Stephen Ballas and wife Julia, Nokesville, VA. Also, survived by her seven grandchildren and a brother: Raymond Walker, Kittanning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Ralph Walker.
As per Elaine’s requests, there will be a private funeral and burial.
The Ballas family is being assisted by the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana.
