Steelers training camp starts next Wednesday at St. Vincent, and TJ Watt is still not signed to a contract extension. He has one year left on his current deal, but is negotiating a new contract that could potentially make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in football.
On yesterday’s Rich Eisen Show, Steelers’ All-Pro defensive lineman Cam Heyward said if the team ever considers trading Watt, he would tell general manager Omar Khan “That’s not happening.” Heyward told the Eisen show that Watt should get paid what he deserves and be able to retire as a Steeler.
Heyward believes the Steelers, with Watt, could win a Super Bowl, and that remains his goal in the remaining years of his NFL career.

Former Steeler Najee Harris will likely start training camp on the Chargers’ non-football injury/illness list, according to general manager Joe Hortiz. Harris injured an eye in a fireworks incident on the Fourth of July.
