First responders were kept busy yesterday with multiple calls for service.
Officials responded to two incidents of physical rescue. The first was reported at 11:05 am on Phillips Road in West Mahoning Township. Dayton and Plumville fire departments were dispatched to that call. The second was reported at 10:27 pm on Philadelphia Street in Indiana borough. Indiana fire association responded to the call.
No details on any of these incidents have been released at this time.
A brush fire was also reported yesterday 11:14 am along Arcadia Road in Montgomery Township, with Cherry Tree fire department sent to respond. Officials say that someone was burning a pile of brush, when an ember came from the brush and made contact with a hose on an excavator, catching it on fire. The excavator was able to be salvaged with minimal damage. No injuries were reported, and crews were on scene for about 20 minutes.
