Time is continuing to tick away for the Steelers in the TJ Watt Contract Negotiation.
ESPN NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler say the two sides are in a standoff for a new contract. While the Steelers are open to giving Watt a new deal, the two sides have yet to come together on a number that will get an agreement in place.
Last season with the Steelers, Watt played in all 17 regular season games. He had 61 tackles, 11.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four defended passes. Watt has skipped offseason activities as part of a holdout for the new contract.
