Pennsylvania’s Department of Revenue announced that they ended the 2024-25 fiscal year with over $300 million above expectations for general fund collections.
State revenue secretary Pat Browne said that the state wound up with $46.4 billion in collections, which he called a meaningful surplus that will put the state in a strong financial position. Collections for the year were above estimates in the amounts for sales tax receipts, personal income tax revenue, inheritance tax and realty transfer taxes, while they were below estimates corporation tax revenue and other general tax fund revenue.
Secretary Browne said that the general fund revenue collections for the fiscal year finished within one percent of their original projections.

Well yeah, when you tax the hell out of everyone
