The busy summer roadwork schedule in Indiana Borough slows down a bit this week. Contractors working for Peoples Natural Gas will be working on Pratt Drive between Maple and West Glass Streets, and should be wrapping up work near the intersections of Locust Street and Wayne Avenue, South 15th Street and School Street, and Wayne Avenue and School Street. The borough will also be completing the replacement of a storm pipe at School and South 15th streets.
A paving project gets underway Monday involving Armstrong and Indiana counties. It starts on Route 56 in Kiskiminetas and South Bend townships in Armstrong County, where milling and paving will take place through July 21st. The work then moves into Indiana County, again on Route 56 between Route 422 in Shelocta and the Indiana/Armstrong County line. It will be daylight construction only on weekdays and Saturdays if needed. Completion is expected by August 4th.
Work continues this week on the Route 22 resurfacing project at the Route 403 eastbound exit onto Cramer Pike and at the westbound ramp at Dishong Mountain Road in East Wheatfield Township.
Water line installation continues through July 22nd in the Route 422/Iverson Road area in Blacklick Township.
