Applications are open for the Indiana County ATHENA awards.
The county’s ATHENA Leadership Award recipients are working once again with the County Chamber of Commerce on the awards. Community businesses, clubs and organizations, and individuals are invited to submit a nominee for both the ATHENA Leadership award and the group’s Young Professional award. The ATHENA Award recognizes career or professional excellence, leadership in community service, and individuals who mentor or open leadership opportunities for women. The ATHENA Young Professional Award honors an individual who is under the age of 40 and who demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in his or her business or profession. Nominees can be men or women, but they must reside in Indiana County.
ATHENA award finalists will be announced September 25th at a Chamber of Commerce After-Hours event at S&T Bank, and the 2025 recipients will be recognized on October 15th at the Emerging Women Leaders luncheon at the Indiana Country Club. Also at that time, the 2025 Spadafora Family Scholarship will also be presented to a member of an ATHENA club at an Indiana County High School.
Nominations are due September 5th. Applications and luncheon registration information can be found on the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce website at indianacountychamber.com
