Summer officially started late last night. With the warm weather anticipated, especially over the next few days, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission has released some tips to help keep your house cool.
Two of those pieces of advice include windows, saying people should keep windows closed to keep cool air in, and to use your blinds to block the sun from coming in. They also advise people to use fans to circulate air in the room to make it feel cooler. Also, to relieve the heat in the kitchen, they advise people cook outdoors, and delay using any heat-producing appliances until the evening.
