The Indiana Area Collaborative Team met on Monday afternoon to discuss final plans for the upcoming unsanctioned celebration known as IUPatty’s.
Law enforcement officials say that so far, activity has been very quiet about any parties or events associated with IUPatty’s, but the theme that was emphasized with each of the local government, public safety and citizens groups at the meeting was teamwork. Michelle Fryling, IACT’s public information officer said that the group has been preparing for this for a while.
Over fifty alternative activities have been planned for the weekend by various groups, and the IUPLeads group is also getting out the message that excessive and underage drinking is “not the norm”.
