At a work session Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council approved updating policies for donating time off.
Borough manager Nicole Sipos said this measure is meant to help employees who may need more sick time than they are allotted in a year by allowing them to draw extra time from a bank of time donated by others.
The main sticking point in the discussions was if sick time could be donated along with vacation time. Under the new policy, anyone who donates eight hours of sick time would also have to donate the equivalent in vacation time.
The board also approved an application for the Audience of One Music Celebration sponsored by the Waymakers at IRMC Park on Friday, September 5th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.
