An Indiana man was sentenced yesterday for a charge of animal cruelty.
Court documents show 51-year-old Zachary Yeager was ordered to serve a year of probation and to pay fines, restitution and court costs for a guilty plea to one of two counts filed after an investigation into curelty accusations at a home on North 2nd Street in Indiana Borough last November. One dog was dead due to neglect while two others who were still alive were showing signs of neglect.
He becomes the second person to get probation in connection with this case. 23-year-old Krista Yeager was sentenced in February of this year to a year of probation as well. 21-year-old Lailonnie Dallas has not been in court since last month when she was at a criminal call hearing. She faces three aggravated animal cruelty counts.
