For the third time in two days, the Steelers yesterday lost a veteran wide receiver. James Washington will sign with the Dallas Cowboys. Ray-Ray McCloud signed with the 49ers and JuJu Smith-Schuster with the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday.
The Steelers announced yesterday that they have interviewed three more candidates to replace Kevin Colbert when he retires in May, following the NFL draft. Former Pitt player and Buffalo general manager Doug Whaley was one of them, along with former Giants GM Jerry Reese and former Vikings GM Rick Spielman.
