The average price of a gallon of gas across the nation, the state and the county continues to creep down.
Today’s national average, according to Triple-A, is now down to $4.28 a gallon, which is a drop of another two cents over the last 24 hours. For Pennsylvania’s average, it is now at $4.36 a gallon, a drop of three cents. Reports say that the cost of crude oil is now at $96.93 a barrel, down from a high of $130 a barrel last week. Oil prices are falling amid peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Indiana County average is now at $4.33 a gallon, a drop of four cents a gallon over the last day. Most gas stations are quoting a price of $4.29 a gallon this morning, according to GasBuddy.com, with the exception of Kwik Fill stations in Indiana, Homer City and Clymer and VP Racing Fuels in Blairsville.
Comparing Indiana County to its neighbors, Indiana County is in the middle. Armstrong County remains the lowest at $4.30 a gallon. Westmoreland County’s average is at $4.31. Cambria County is slightly higher than Indiana at $4.34 a gallon. Jefferson County’s average is at $4.35, while Clearfield County’s average is the highest in the region at $4.37 a gallon.
