School board meetings this week include the Marion Center board, meeting on Monday to vote on a tentative budget worth $30.25 million, supported by a revenue plan that includes a 5.54 percent increase in real estate taxes. The district’s three-year Comprehensive Plan is scheduled for a vote as well, along with a number of service agreements and personnel items for the coming school year.
Indiana Area’s Buildings, Grounds, and Transportation Committee also meets Monday, with agenda items including the Eisenhower project, the ESCO project including stadium lighting, and a review of upcoming summer maintenance.
River Valley’s school board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday.
Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Education is scheduled to visit the Indiana County Technology Center on Tuesday. Dr. Carrie Rowe is expected to be at the school complex from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. The agenda for the visit is still in development.
