The girls’ basketball season came to an end Tuesday night for Homer-Center and River Valley, which were knocked out of the quarterfinal round of the 2A and 3A state playoffs, respectively.
Homer-Center, the District 6 champion, lost by just four points, 68-64, to Bellwood-Antis, the third seed out of District 6, at Central Cambria High School. Here’s Todd Marino with the recap on WCCS.
River Valley, the District 6 champion, came back from a 12-point deficit to tie Freedom Area, 50-50, but Freedom, the No. 2 seed from WPIAL, would score the final six points for a 56-50 win. Here’s Travis Williams with the recap on Cat Country.
