Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with theft of lost property.
Officers were dispatched last Saturday night to a parking lot in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street for a report of a cell phone dropped in the lot. Security camera footage showed that the phone was picked up by someone else. Police identified the person as 26-year-old Mykal A. Perez, and the suspect made no attempt to return the phone to its owner. Police were able to recover the phone and return it to its owner.
Charges were filed in District Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
