State police in Kittanning are investigating another case of unemployment compensation fraud that affected a Shelocta man earlier this month.
Police say that a 39-year-old man attempted to log into his unemployment account to file his weekly claim when he noted his claim was already processed for the week, but he did not receive the payment. The man contacted the Department of Labor and Industry on the 11th when they informed him his banking information and login password were changed in late February. The victim said he didn’t change any of the information, and someone else stole his identification to make those changes.
No word yet on a suspect in this case.
