The Penguins launch a three-game road trip tonight at Nashville.
The Penguins are in second place in the Metro Division with 81 points, 6 points behind Carolina. The Predators are tied with Minnesota for third in the Central Division with 72 points, 17 points behind the NHL’s top points team, Colorado.
At 19-6-4, the Penguins are the best road team in the NHL this season. Coach Mike Sullivan says they don’t do anything differently on the road than they do at home.
The Pens have won two straight games after dropping two in a row on the heels of an impressive 5-1 win over Tampa Bay on March 3rd. Sullivan says they are struggling to find a consistent level of play.
The Penguins have not played the Predators since December 28th of 2019. They are 6-1-1 in their last eight visits to Nashville.
