The Pirates have transferred first baseman Spencer Horwitz’s rehab assignment from Altoona to Indianapolis, and Horwitz had two hits last night for Indy in a 4-1 win over Columbus. Reliever Dauri Moreta also was transferred to Indy on his rehab assignment and he worked an inning, walking one and striking out the side.
Also yesterday, the Pirates promoted left-hander Hunter Barco from Altoona to Indianapolis. Barco has yet to give up a run this season in 25-and-two-thirds innings of work.

Altoona could scrape together only two hits, by Mitch Jebb and Tres Gonzalez, in a 3-0 loss to Erie. Po-Yu Chen starts for the Curve in Game Two of the series tonight.
