State police and state parole agents have arrested a Clarksburg man on drug-related charges.
According to a news release from the State Police, troopers were called out to a home along Barkley Road in Conemaugh Township Wednesday morning after parole officers discovered marijuana and drug packaging material during a compliance check. Troopers were also advised that a parole office K-9 alerted officers on-scene to a car parked on the property. After obtaining a search warrant, authorities found a pistol, crystal meth and marijuana on the property and in the car.
The suspect, identified only as a 43-year-old Clarksburg man, was taken into custody by the parole agents and charged with possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, along with firearms violations.
State police continue to encourage anyone who sees suspected illegal drug activity to call local or state police to report it. Anonymous tips can also be made to the 24-hour toll-free Drug Trafficking Tip Line at 1-877-PA-NODRUGS or to the Indiana County District Attorney’s tip line at 724-471-7777
