IUP’s Haven Project is getting ready for its annual “Take Back The Night” event scheduled for April 9th.
The event is designed to raise awareness and to support survivors of sexual assault, stalking and domestic and dating violence. Another goal is to show those impacted by sexual violence that IUP is dedicated to ending it while supporting survivors and victims. Participants in the event include IUP students, faculty and staff; Indiana borough citizens and representatives of groups like Alice Paul House. The theme for the 2025 Take Back the Night is “Shatter the Silence”.
The event starts at 6:00 PM on April 9th at the Oak Grove, with a survivor march to start at 7:00. A survivor support reception and speak out event will be held in Room One of the Hadley Union Building at 7:30.
