Kris Letang took a disputed slashing penalty in overtime and the Blues’ Robert Thomas scored a power play goal as St. Louis won its eleventh straight game, 5-4 over the Penguins last night.
Rookie Rutger McGroarty forced the extra period when he jammed in a rebound for his first NHL goal with 23.8 seconds left in the third period. Bryan Rust, Connor Dewar, and Rickard Rakell scored the other Penguins’ goals.
Coach Mike Sullivan says the Pens’ puck management fell apart in the second period.

Evgeni Malkin missed his fourth straight game with an upper body injury.
The Penguins play the Stars tomorrow afternoon in Dallas.
