The Penguins open a run of three straight games on home ice tonight against the Florida Panthers, and if yesterday’s practice is any indication, center Teddy Blueger will return to the lineup. He’s been out since breaking his jaw in a game on January 23rd. Blueger centered the fourth line in practice yesterday, replacing Brian Boyle.
The Pens yesterday activated goaltender Louis Domingue from the injured reserve list and sent him to Wilkes Barre-Scranton. Domingue has played one game with the Penguins this season, a 2-1 win at San Jose in which he made 40 saves.
Assistant coach Todd Reirden returned to the team yesterday at practice and could be behind the bench again tonight. He’s been out for close to a month after knee surgery.
NOTE: Due to the Penns Manor high school basketball playoff game tonight, the Penguins game will not be heard on 92.5 FM U92.
