Rather than wait for a decision by Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson has signed a one-year contract with the New York Giants, meaning the Steelers will have none of the three quarterbacks they had last season when training camp opens in July. The Giants had already signed former Cleveland Brown Jameis Winston and now have added Wilson to their quarterback room.
Rodgers still has not spoken publicly about his plans. He visited the Steelers offices for six hours last Friday.
The Steelers have recently-signed Mason Rudolph and former Dolphins backup Skylar Thompson, who was signed to a futures contract in January.
Former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. visited the Steelers yesterday, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. He was a second round draft pick of the Panthers in 2021.
