The online auction for the Indiana Mall Property is now complete, but the new owners may not be known until at least the end of the week.
According to real estate auction site Ten-X.com, the sale of the 44.84 acre shopping plaza is now in escrow, meaning that the property is now in legal holding, and cannot be released until predetermined conditions are met and the financial transaction is complete. The mall was opened in 1979 and currently has JCPenney, Kohl’s and Harbor Freight as its anchor stores, along with a four-screen movie theater and many shops and businesses located inside it.
As for right now, the mall will remain open due to the active leases inside the property. The starting bid for the property was $850,000.
