There is PIAA girls basketball tournament action tonight on U92 and on Cat Country.
The Penns Manor Comets play WPIAL champion Aliquippa at Gateway High School. Both teams are coming off 14-point wins in the first round. The 22-4 Quips took down Chartiers Houston while the 23-5 Comets eliminated Wilmington. Tipoff is at 6, with airtime at 5:40 on 92.5 FM U92.
At Bald Eagle Area, the 26-1 River Valley Panthers meet District 3 champion Trinity, which is 20-6. Both teams blew out their first round opponents. Trinity beat Martin Luther King, 81-20, while River Valley wiped out Towanda, 74-30. The game tips off at 6:30, with a 6:10 airtime on Cat Country 106.3 FM.
Tomorrow, we have Renda Digital TV basketball action in boys AA, with Northern Cambria taking on WPIAL champ Jeannette at 7 o’clock from Greater Johnstown.
