Oneil Cruz blasted a three-run fifth inning home run over the boardwalk and out of LECOM Park and four pitches later, Joey Bart made it back-to-back with a solo blast as the Pirates squeezed by Toronto, 7-6.
After rain delayed the game by 75 minutes, Mitch Keller threw three-and-two-thirds innings and allowed one run on one hit, a second-inning home run by the Jays’ Alejandro Kirk. Keller walked three and struck out three. Bart had two of the Pirates’ seven hits.

MLB Pipeline yesterday released its Top 30 Pirates prospects list, with Bubba Chandler and 2024 top draft pick Konnor Griffin numbers one and two. There are a bunch of ascending younger players in the list with others who have not yet climbed the ladder to the big leagues falling in the rankings.

The biggest drops on the list were pitcher Anthony Solometo, from 7th to 14th, and outfielder Lonnie White, from 19th to out of the top 30.
