On Monday, the United Way of Indiana County had their “Soup-er Bowl” day fundraiser, and it was another smash success.
The total funds raised from the sale of soup lunches on Monday came to $3325. That money will go towards the 2016-2017 United Way campaign goal. On Monday, Naps Cucina Mia opened their kitchen to the United Way, allowing them to cook four different types of soup for the fundraiser. Six hand bakery in Indiana provided bread for the meals, and turner dairy provided drinks for the patrons.
United Way officials said they had a lot of take-out orders to start the day, and sales were steady for most of the day.
