From the US National Weather Service
We’re seeing some sun peek through the clouds this morning, a short break before the next wave over the Great Lakes comes through tonight and tomorrow. For today, expect dry and mild conditions as afternoon highs climb into the mid 40s up along I-80 and low 50s farther south and west. It will also be a little breezy, with winds gusting to 25-30 mph.
Somewhat warmer air will spread across the region this afternoon ahead of a strong cold front moving over the Midwest. Scattered rain showers are possible ahead of the front before it crosses late tonight. Colder air will rapidly overspread the region behind the front with scattered snow showers possible into Saturday morning. Temperatures will slowly fall throughout the day on Saturday as much colder continues to drive southeastward across the Upper Ohio Valley. More widespread snow showers are possible Saturday. Most accumulations Saturday should be light, less than an inch, but higher amounts are possible over the ridges and in locations that see multiple rounds of snow. Snow showers will dissipate Saturday evening and a chilly, but dry day is expected on Sunday.
