The Indiana County Court of Common Pleas will be busy with several hearings today, including ones for a man charged with a home invasion in Plumville in 2023.
Michael Sanders of Plumville, who turns 35 next week, is scheduled for a sentencing hearing, a motion to withdraw his guilty plea and a probation revocation hearing. He pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault for an incident on June 15th of last year, and today was originally scheduled to be his sentencing hearing, but he wants to withdraw the guilty plea. A sentencing hearing is set for today for the same charges for another incident on the same day. And there is also a probation revocation hearing on the schedule. That is related to the home breaking case along McMillen Road in South Mahoning Township in August of 2023 where he assaulted a man at his home. He was placed on one year of probation for that case.
Also due in court to rescind his guilty plea is Don Drummond, a 60-year-old man from Punxsutawney. He pleaded guilty to DUI and Fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for an incident on April 7th of last year, when police say he threatened a woman then left riding an ATV, trying to escape capture. He was scheduled to be sentenced today.
