Bishop McCort and Portage both came away with District 6 AA championships last night at Mount Aloysius. Todd Marino recaps the action.
All four teams move into the state AA tournament, and the Bellwood Antis girls also squeak in with a 60-58 win over Southern Huntingdon while the Bishop McCort boys make it in with an 84-77 win over West Branch.
The AAA finals are tonight. Unbeaten River Valley tangles with Central Cambria for the girls title, airing on Renda Digital TV at 5:30 and tipping off at 6. In the boys championship, Bishop Guilfoyle clashes with Forest Hills.
