From the US National Weather Service
Our next round of widespread snow arrives late tonight into Thursday morning. This first round will be generally light, but may cause some issues during the morning commute. During the day, a transition to convectively-banded snow showers is expected. Low visibilities and quick accumulation on roads are possible in the heavier snow showers, and impacts to the evening commute are also possible.
We have highest confidence in snow totals greater than 3 inches in the ridges, which is where a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued. The Advisory could be expanded to other areas in future updates.
The bottom line: if you are on the roads tomorrow, plan on slippery conditions! When driving, allow for extra time to reach your destination. Drive slowly and increase the distance between your vehicle and others. We’ll have updates overnight and tomorrow, so stay tuned!
