The Penguins returned to the ice for practice yesterday to get ready for a stretch of three games in four days, starting tomorrow night with a visit by the New Jersey Devils.
The Pens have lost two games in a row, to Toronto and Carolina, but coach Mike Sullivan says they are careful not to make a rash of changes based on a small snapshot of the season.
Teddy Blueger practiced yesterday for the first time since suffering a broken jaw last month, but Sullivan said it was because the workout was non-contact and focused on individual skills. Sullivan says Blueger is an important player for the Penguins since he is so versatile.
Blueger wore a white non-contact jersey and a full face shield during the practice.
