The IUP basketball teams hit the road tonight, but it’s just a short trip to Johnstown for a doubleheader against UPJ.
The Crimson Hawks’ women are coming off a huge win at Gannon last Saturday, a win that clinched a PSAC playoff berth. They are 16-4, 11-3 in the conference. They beat UPJ by 22 points last month. The struggling Mountain Cats come into the game at 2-20 and are 0-9 in the PSAC.
Coach Craig Carey hopes Saturday’s momentum carries IUP to a late-season surge.
IUP’s men lost at Gannon on Saturday and enter tonight’s game at 11-11, and 6-8 in the PSAC. UPJ is 10-12 and 6-9. IUP won by 9 when they played on January 15th.
