The District 6 basketball tournament begins tonight with three Heritage Conference teams in action.
The River Valley boys play a Triple-A game on the road at Bald Eagle, airing at 7:15 on Cat Country, 106.3 FM. In girls Double-A, the Purchase Line girls will host West Branch. It airs on 92.5 FM, U92 at 6:45. Both games are also on the TribLive High School Sports Network, directly linked at each station’s website.
Also tonight, Northern Cambria plays at Bellwood Antis.
Tomorrow, the Indiana girls open their WPIAL Five-A playoff chase playing Thomas Jefferson at Hampton High School (WDAD). The River Valley girls host a Triple-A game against Huntingdon (Cat Country).
First round action continues Wednesday with three boys Double-A games. Bishop McCort visits United (WCCS); West Branch is at Penns Manor (Cat Country); and West Shamokin will host Southern Huntingdon. River Valley, should they win tonight, would play a boys game at Bishop Guilfoyle. And if Northern Cambria wins tonight, they’ll play at Richland.
On Thursday, the girls Double-A first round will feature Juniata Valley at Homer Center (WCCS) and Southern Huntingdon at Penns Manor (Cat Country). The United girls will play at Bellwood Antis, and if Purchase Line wins tonight, they will play at Bishop McCort.
