Indiana Borough Police have charged a teen from Pittsburgh with burglary and simple assault for an incident Wednesday Morning.
Police were called out to a residence in the 1200 block of Oakland Avenue at 12:39 AM. It was discovered that 19-year-old Jaquan Benton of Pittsburgh gained entry into the residence without permission and damaged several items inside. He also fought with another man in the residence who was not identified by police. Benton fled the scene before police arrived, but was later found with the assistance of IUP Police.
Benton was also charged with criminal trespass, harassment and criminal mischief. He is now in Indiana County Jail awaiting an arraignment hearing.
