Coach Mike Sullivan says the Penguins are well aware of the battle in front of them as they end their seven-game road trip in Utah tonight, trying to snap a three-game losing streak.
The Penguins sit in last place in the Metro Division and they are ninth out of ten teams in the Eastern Conference Wild Card chase, seven points out of the second slot.
Sullivan says they aren’t going to back away from the challenge.
The coach says there’s only one way to dig out of the hole the Penguins are in.
Sullivan is looking for more production from the Penguins when they’re playing at even strength.
Blake Lizotte practiced fully yesterday. He’s missed the last three games due to illness.
