Last night, the Indiana School Board approved a proposal to seek bids concerning a freezer and cooler project.
The proposal came from the EADs Group and the agreement is for bidding and construction services for the project that will upgrade the freezers and coolers at Ben Franklin and East Pike. Tom Harley of the buildings/grounds and transportation committee said that the project is intended to streamline operations for the foodservice department. Harley also explained how the project would be paid for.
The board also approved the commission rates for tax collectors for the next four school years. Starting in 2026-27, the commission will be $5.70/bill, with it increasing ten cents each year.
