Pitt dragged a four-game losing streak into Saturday’s game at Syracuse, but the Panthers’ dynamic duo of guards, Jaland Lowe and Ishmael Leggett, led them to a 77-73 win at Syracuse.
Lowe scored 22 points, Leggett 16, and three other Pitt players were in double figures. Cam Corhen had 12, and Damian Dunn and Zack Austin added 10, with Austin’s 10 all coming in the closing minutes of the game.
Pitt is 13-6 overall, 4-4 in the ACC. Syracuse fell to 9-11 (3-6). Pitt hosts North Carolina on Tuesday.
