The Pittsburgh Steelers had a busy day in the NFL Draft yesterday, taking Wide Receiver James Washington from Oklahoma State in round 2. Washington averaged 19.4 and 20.9 yards per catch in his last two years in college, and is noted for his speed, constantly getting by cornerbacks.
The big move of the day for the Steelers yesterday was the trade of the 79th overall pick and the 220th pick overall to the Seattle Seahawks to allow the Steelers to move up to 76th to pick fellow Oklahoma State player, Quarterback Mason Rudolph. Rudolph lead the nation in passing with 4904 passing yards, completing 65% of his passes and tossing 37 touchdowns last year. In his 4-year-college career, he threw for over 13,000 yards, 92 touchdowns and 26 interceptions.
Also in the third round, the Steelers took Chukwuma Okorafor, an offensive tackle from Western Michigan.
