First responders were called out early this morning for two incidents in Indiana Borough.
The first was at 5:39 AM as Indiana Fire Association members were dispatched to Wallwork Hall on IUP’s Campus. Campus police were also on the scene. Initial reports say that there was only smoke in the structure, but it turned out to be a broken pipe in the HVAC system that created a lot of steam and no smoke.
At 5:51 AM, Iselin/West Lebanon firefighters were called out for a reported structure fire on Elk Drive in Armstrong County. Citizens ambulance and Commodore Rehab were also dispatched at the time.
This came after two automatic fire alarm activations were reported on Monday. The first was on Anthony Run Road in Armstrong Township. Indiana firefighters were called out at 6:25 PM. The other was at 7:27 PM along Mountain View Drive in Green Township. Commodore fire crews were called out at the time.
Indiana firefighters were called out around 5:39 this morning for reported smoke in structure inside Wallwork Hall on IUP’s campus. Initial scanner reports say that the smoke came from an air conditioning unit in the hall. People were evacuated. IUP police were called to the scene as well.
