From the US National Weather Service
We’re still expecting snow to move in from the south later this morning and eventually tapering off this afternoon and evening (lingering into the overnight in the higher terrain). Light lake effect snow showers will then linger through Monday. Heaviest snow is expected in the higher terrain where Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect through early Monday morning.
Dangerously cold weather is expected beginning late tonight through Wednesday. Wind chills and temperatures will be coldest at night/early morning, with Wednesday morning being the coldest of the week. A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for much of the region, with an Extreme Cold Warning across the higher terrain.
This is an extended period of cold, with many places not making it above ~10°F three days in a row. Prepare now and remember to protect the “4 Ps”: People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants.
