Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were called out close to midnight Saturday night for a vehicle crash that resulted in injuries.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 11:54 PM on Route 22 East near Penn View Mountain. Along with fire crews, State Police and Citizens’ Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Black Lick fire officials said in a post on the department’s Facebook page that a pickup truck had driven onto the median and was blocking the fast lane and part of the slow lane of 22. Two people were injured in the crash. It’s not known at this time if they went to the hospital. No word on how the crash happened.
A portion of Route 22 East was closed due to the hazardous road conditions. After the initial investigation, fire officials turned over the scene to state police and PennDOT.
