Pitt beat North Carolina State 71-69 to snap a 12-game winless streak against the Wolfpack that stretched all the way back to 2014. It was Pitt’s second straight win, and made for their first back-to-back wins against ACC opponents this season after Thursday’s defeat of Florida State.
John Hugley scored 21 points and had ten rebounds. Jamarius Burton and Ithiel Horton each had 17 for the Panthers, who are 10-16 and 5-10 in the ACC. Pitt will play North Carolina on Wednesday.
