The Pirates went long-ball in a win over the Cubs yesterday. Gregory Polanco hit a pair of solo homers and Francisco Cervelli added a three-run shot as the Pirates cruised past the Cubs 6-1 at Wrigley Field. Adam Frazier also went deep for Pittsburgh, which took two-of-three in the series. Trevor Williams hurled six innings of one-run ball to up his record to 3-and-0.
The Pirates are in Miami to open a three-game set with the Marlins tonight. Pittsburgh is now 9-and-3 on the season and will send Chad Kuhl to the mound. 3-and-9 Miami will counter with Dillon Peters. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. Airtime on 101.1 FM and AM 1160 is 6:45.
