Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has signed a bill that was co-sponsored by senator Joe Pittman to provide financial assistance to emergency medical services providers in the state.
Under the measure, $25 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding will be distributed through the Emergency Medical Services Covid-19 Recovery Grant Program. Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Affairs Committee Chair Pat Stefano says the legislation being signed into law is an example of bipartisan work.
Stefano says the measure also implements the decision of PA voters to allow paid fire and EMS companies to take part in the Fire and Emergency Services Loan Program.
