GIRLS BASKETBALL
Indiana’s girls are 11-2 after a 48-27 thrashing of West Mifflin on the road last night.
Julia Antonacci led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points, Emily Betsinger had 9, and Stella Stossel scored 8. Indiana is 5-0 in the Section and has a big one coming up on Monday at Fifth Street Gym against undefeated Penn Trafford. It’s also Elementary Night, with all elementary school students getting free admission.
River Valley remains undefeated with their 13th straight win, 62-29 over United. Ava Persichetti scored 23 points and Morgan Cole added 14. Kenady Kitner hit three 3s and finished with 13. The Panthers will test themselves against a big school on Saturday, traveling two hours to play 6A Mifflin County.
Penns Manor ripped Portage, 68-26, led by Alyssa Altemus’s 21 points 11 rebounds 5 assists and 4 steals. Josslyn Bennett and Clara Henry each scored 12 and Allie Mumau had 9 points and 10 rebounds. Kendall Bednarski scored 10 for the Mustangs.
Cambria Heights beat Purchase Line, 43-39. Sienna Kirsch and Kinley Rogel each scored 11 for the Highlanders.
Conemaugh Township topped West Shamokin, 34-25.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Indiana beat Shaler 77-69. No details were provided.

In a tight shootin’ match, Indiana lost to Armstrong 798-60x to 793-50x. Top shooters for Indiana were Emelia Campisano with a perfect 100-10x, Sarah Genchur with a 100-9x and Rylee Warfel with a 100-5x.
