Six IUP football players have been named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District team.
Three seniors, offensive lineman Gerald Comedy, wide receiver Daniel Deabner, and quarterback Karst Hunter were selected along with three juniors, tight end Marcus Day, long snapper Brayden Landherr, and defensive back Isaiah Towler.
To qualify for the Academic All-District Team, chosen by the College Sports Communicators, the student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, compete in 90 percent of the team’s competitions or start in 66% of a team’s competitions.
Comedy qualified as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-American team. Those selections will be announced January 25th.
