The Center Township Supervisors Monday night approved the purchase of a spreader and hopper for one of their service trucks.
Matt Housholder said that the spreader was necessary as one of their trucks has undergone several repairs and needs further repairs. The purchase of the $7500 spreader was approved 2-1 with James Bence initially wanting to table the motion, saying that their truck in the shop could last a while longer.
Prior to the voting meeting, the supervisors held their reorganization meeting. Matt Housholder was re-elected the chairman of the board, with Paul Colgan as the vice-chairman.
