In Indiana County Common Pleas Court tomorrow, President Judge Thomas Bianco will hold a pretrial motions hearing for 50-year-old Brian James Barr of Commodore, who is scheduled for trial January 27th for felony corruption of minors, misdemeanor indecent assault of a person under 13 years of age, and indecent exposure. The state police investigation began in July of 2022 for an incident that is alleged to have taken place on January 1st of 2014. This will be the third attempt at a trial.
Judge Bianco will also hold a hearing on a motion to join together the trials of 44-year-old Philip J. Barnett and 30-year-old Melanie Ann Barnett, a Robinson couple charged with three counts each of felony endangering the welfare of children and misdemeanor reckless endangerment. Melanie Barnett is also charged with intimidation of a witness or victim. The incident is dated January 1st of 2023.
